Once you have set the topiclock on in your channel, check the flags of those who have access. Be sure only those you want to have access to changing the topic have the t flag in their access flags for your channel. To check who has what flags in your channel, use the command:

/cs flags #channelname list

Example: /cs flags #Joes_Hideout list

use

/cs help flags

for a list of channel flags and what they do and how to set them.

You have to make sure you are using a registered nick and already identified to do that just check the link below

Join the channel you want to register it like for example if you wanna register a channel name Titans so the command will be:

/join #Titans

Third

Make sure the room you joined aren't registered and you are the only one on it or was the first to join. To check the room is not register or not just type

/cs info #Titans
```

If its not register it would tell you

-ChanServ- Channel #Titans is not registered.

If its register it would give u a list of info

If the LIMITFLAGS option is set for the channel, this is restricted further, see help for SET LIMITFLAGS. If you do not have +f you may still remove your own access with -*.

with caps it gives the user auto function while flags with lower case give the user abilty to use flags on another.
Syntax: FLAGS <#channel> [nickname|hostmask|group template]
Syntax: FLAGS <#channel> [nickname|hostmask|group flag_changes]
Permissions:
+v - Enables use of the voice/devoice commands.
+V - Enables automatic voice.
+h - Enables use of the halfop/dehalfop commands.
+H - Enables automatic halfop.
+o - Enables use of the op/deop commands.
+O - Enables automatic op.
+a - Enables use of the protect/deprotect commands.
+q - Enables use of the owner/deowner commands.
+s - Enables use of the set command.
+i - Enables use of the invite and getkey commands.
+r - Enables use of the kick, kickban, ban and unban commands.
+R - Enables use of the recover and clear commands.
+f - Enables modification of channel access lists.
+t - Enables use of the topic and topicappend commands.
+A - Enables viewing of channel access lists.
+S - Marks the user as a successor.
+F - Grants full founder access.
+b - Enables automatic kickban.

The special permission +* adds all permissions except +b and +F.
The special permission -* removes all permissions including +b and +F.

Sets channel mode lock.
MLOCK (or "mode lock") allows you to enforce a set of modes on a channel. This can prevent abuse in cases such as +kl. It can also make it harder to fight evil bots, be careful. Locked modes can be seen by anyone recreating the channel (this includes keys).

Syntax: SET <#channel> MLOCK [modes]

Examples: (some may use modes your ircd does not support)
/msg ChanServ SET #channel MLOCK +nt-lk
/msg ChanServ SET #channel MLOCK +inst-kl

The easiest way is to set Secure on your channel, as this will only allow identified people who have flag access in your room to be op'd or halfop'd, this must be done via chanserv by typing:

/msg chanserv set #channel Secure ON

however, be advised secure will NOT stop the following commands:

/msg chanserv voice #channel nickname

/mode #channel +v nickname

i would say that one has to be SECURE command. Secure prevents anyone that's not on the channel's access lists from gaining operator or halfop status on the channel. This is useful if you're paranoid.

/msg ChanServ SET #Channel SECURE ON

if you want to turn it off all you have to do type the same command and at the end instead of ON type OFF

/msg ChanServ SET #Channel SECURE OFF

First all you need type, /cs set #channel founder newfoundernick

ie; /cs set #Friends founder Immortal

There will be another step before the founder changed

Some notices will appear at console/status

(17:19:59) ChanServ [services@icq.com]: Immortal can now take ownership of #Friends.
(17:19:59) ChanServ [services@icq.com]: In order to complete the transfer, Immortal must perform the following command:
(17:19:59) ChanServ [services@icq.com]: /msg ChanServ SET #Friends FOUNDER Immortal
(17:19:59) ChanServ [services@icq.com]: After that command is issued, the channel will be transferred.
(17:19:59) ChanServ [services@icq.com]: To cancel the transfer, use /msg ChanServ SET #Friends FOUNDER libra

After you see these notices, the new founder need type:

/cs set #channel founder nickname
