Note: You can only change your own user modes ONLY.[/list]

[ c ] = Blocks private messages and notices from users who do not share a common channel with you.

How to register a Channel?

You have to make sure you are using a registered nick and already identified to do that just check the link below

Join the channel you want to register it like for example if you wanna register a channel name Titans so the command will be:

/join #Titans

Third

Make sure the room you joined aren't registered and you are the only one on it or was the first to join. To check the room is not register or not just type

If its not register it would tell you

If its register it would give u a list of info

How to auto save logs and see them?

Just wanted to share for others how to make ur script auto save logs private/main since I noticed few didn't know about it

this way for only who is using mirc or any other script based on it like pnplus/bambino whatever

Steps

Go Tools ----> Options ----> IRC ----> Logging

For who doesn't know the best things, you should maybe do these settings or its the one I'm doing it

Automatic log: Both
Reload logs: Both
Timestamp logs: (hh:nn:ss)
Date filenames: By Month
Logs and buffer save folder: Here you choose where to save logs
Other Marked Things: Include Network & Make Folder & Except status

All these previous things are marked other things which wasn't mentioned shouldn't be marked.

For reading them from the mirc without going to the folder Go Tools ----> Log Files

How to auto identify using mIRC?

Some people their nicks were dropped while they forgot to identify so this way might help you for auto identify if u are using mIRC or any script based on it like

(PnPlus,IRCap,NoName,IceChat,.....etc.)

How to set it

Go to tools on the top bar then Options ---> Connect ----> Option ---> Perform then mark Enable perform on connect

and go to Perform commands: then type the command for the identify with your own password /msg nickserv identify <yourpassword> .

Please Note:

If you didn't identify for 30 days .. your nickname will be dropped and anyone else can register it ... and if it happened its not our problem when people come ask about their nicknames since we always advice for identify ur nick each time u come in

How to highlight ur nickname using mIRC ?

You can highlight your nickname with the color u want and the sound you want like when anyone calls your nickname on the main or pvt or any place you are in.

Go on top bar choose Tools ---> Address Book ----> Hightlight

Then mark Enable hightlight and then click on Add

At highlight lines that contain these words: type $me it stand for ur nickname whatever it is ...

then choose on color the color you want and on sound the sound u want .... but make sure at sound it only accept .wav file ...

How to ignore someone using silence command ?

The following meanings of each flag:

    p = Block private PRIVMSG
    c = Block public PRIVMSG (to a channel)
    i = Block INVITE
    n = Block private NOTICE
    t = Block public NOTICE (to a channel)
    a = Block all the above types
    x = Exception.

Example:

If you want to ignore someone from Private with nickname Histen

/silence +Histen p

If you want to ignore Histen IP from your [b]Private[/b] lets say as he keep changing the nick and bug you over so for example his IP is [b]FA0226.ACF033.D0C64D.9730CE

/silence +*!*@FA0226.ACF033.D0C64D.9730CE p

Please Note:

If you want to remove someone from the silence just replace the + with -
To get you silence list command used is just /silence and you shall get the info in your status page.
If some people wonder how to get others IP you just use /whois nickname and his IP with the rooms he in will appear in your status.

How to get start with mIRC ?

Since i see many people just starting to use scripts and it would be abit hard for them so i made a guide for how u can connect to our server, This guide will show you how to run mIRC or any script that passed on it like pnplus, bambino etc.

Before you can start using mIRC, you will need to download and install it to get one of the mIRC scripts check that link http://chanops.org/community/index.php/topic,315.0.html. If you have already done that, you can skip this step.
Run mIRC by double-clicking on the mIRC icon on your desktop or in your Windows Start menu. You should then see the Connect window below which you can use to connect to IRC.
Small box will come you will need to enter something for your Full Name and Email Address. These do not have to be your real full name and email address. Choose your Nickname and Alternative nickname. These are the names by which other people will know you on IRC.
Click Servers on the Connect mini list and choose the server you want. For running ICQ then you need to choose IrCQNet and then click Select then make sure the Server that chosen there is IrCQNet: Random server
Click now Connect and then you shall be connected to our server.

Now with all these steps i think all will be fine just if u want to check the channel list you need to type /list and double click on any room you want to go for it, If you already know the room name then use the command /join #channel replace only channel with the channel name and keep the #

How can I add colour to my popups?

Adding some colours to your popups :-

Either while you are creating your popups or after you have finished them , you can then add colour commands to them.

Place your mouse into a section of your popup you would like to change the colour and by holding down the "Ctrl key on your keyboard and then striking the "K" key once , will bring up a colour box that has all the colours and numbers relating to the colours. Select a number and then continue typing OR move your mouse to another area to colour.

Making Popup Directories
If you intend to go mad making popups for slaps , hello's , welcome's and even welcome back's , you may want to consider making a directory for your popups.

In the mIRC Editor , make a new line and place a HEADING for your slap popup's called Slaps or Emotions or anything really . We do this simply by typing the word "slap" "emotions" or whatever you choose on the new line and then placing all of you created popups under that heading.

Q. What is a popup ?
A. It's a shortcut command for mIRC that is activated by your mouse.

Q. How do I use one ?
A. Select a persons "nick" from the right hand column of the channel window you are in by clicking ONCE with your left mouse button. Once the nick is highlighted depress the right mouse button and scroll to the word slap and then release the mouse button. ........ This should now appear in the channel window : * Yourname slap's NICK around a bit with a large trout.

Q. How do I make my own ?
A. You need to open your popups area in mIRC. You do this by either pressing alt+p or"Click" TOOLS at the top LEFT hand corner of your mIRC -> Scripts editor -> Popups Tab
Select VIEW from the editor menu bar of the window that opens
Scroll to NICKNAME LIST and then release the mouse button again.

In the mIRC Editor box scroll down past all the stuff that is in there already and we are going to make a new piece of code that will produce a new popup
copy and paste this into a new line

Poke:/me pokes $$1 in the eye..Thats for staring at $me

"Poke" is the name you have given your popup and is what you will see with your right mouse button. /me makes your popup an "action popup. The $$1 will insert the nickname of the person you have highlighted and the $me will insert your nickname into the popup.
Once you have done that , "click" OK and return to the channel and try your new popup.
The result should look like this :- YOURNAME pokes NICK in the eye..Thats for staring at YOURNAME.

You aren't talking to other computers; you are talking to real, live people with feelings, moods, and interests who happen to be communicating via computers.
Remember that not everyone is chatting in one room only.
Picture yourself entering into a group of people from all over the world, with varying ages and backgrounds, and act accordingly. You might greet the group, you might watch quietly at first from the sidelines to determine the tone of the group. After watching for a few minutes, you may find that this isn't the kind of group you like.... and that's ok. There are plenty of other groups you can choose from; just leave as politely as you arrived.
n the same time zone you are, and that your native language may not be the primary language of everyone in the chatroom.
Don't worry about correcting typos . They are expected, and can actually be a GREAT source of laughter for everyone (be sure you share in the laughter).
Flirting is fine when you are with an appropriate group. Outright sexual comments and/or requests are NOT ok unless in a room designed for such.
As in real life, some people will be rude or offensive. Humour works better at diffusing potential problems than anger does. Ignoring them works even better. Anger on-line is a waste of energy.
Most chatters are nice. Ask if you have questions( and watch for their replies)
It is very helpful to address your comments (in typing) to the specific recipient if there is one. For example: Gemini<or whatever the chatter's nickname is>, where did you say you were from?"
It's perfectly ok to shorten somebody's chatting nickname when you're "talking" to them. but a little tip is type the first letter or 2 letters of their nick and hit the "tab" key this will complete the nick for you if you are on a client like mirc
Ignore all those stories about masquerading as someone else on line... and just be yourself! You'll have a great deal more fun, find better friends, and not irritate the heck out of people when you're "found out" (which you will be eventually - trust me. Experienced chatters can almost always sense "fakes")

In most general chatrooms, this type of behaviour will result in your being removed from the chat, for a short time or indefinitely
Typing in all CAPITAL LETTERS. This is considered "yelling" and rude.
Chat in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS is difficult to read, and makes the screen scroll too fast.
There is no quicker way to announce that you're a NEWBIE CHATTER than to use all capital letters!

Dealing with Offensive Chatters, People tend to be a lot braver online than in person and a lot braver can mean being more aggressive or just stupid. If you have a disagreement with someone or someone has just picked you out of the crowd and decided you are "Todays plaything" do the sensible thing and use the /ignore nick feature, its why its there and its the best way . If you retaliate its exactly what they want someone who "bites" if you dont then they get bored and stop.If the room is being moderated by a chanop they will put a stop to it let the brave person take the ban for being an idiot dont fight back and end up banned yourself.
