As many users wants to try or style their xchats, there are some sources to view new XChat Themes.

I'll not write all steps as on the links you'll already see enough descriptions how to make it and some example themes.

How to make auto identify

Some people were asking how to set auto identify on XChat, doing that is very simple.. here is how

Go on XChat on the top par then Network List choose the network you want and then click on Edit go down you will see

Connect Command type there the command for the identify with your password, for who dont know the command it is

/msg nickserv identify

thats all, wasnt hard i think

Show clones on join

This addon will let you see the other clones from the users when one of them join the room you are already on it.

Example:

You Got two ways for how to load the addon on your XChat script

1- Go on XChat on the MenuBar Load Plugin or Script then choose the place of the Clones On Join.pl and then press Open .

2-Go on Window on the MenuBar Plugins and Scripts [b]Load Open[/b]

Installing Perl Plugin

Most of the XChat builds for windows come with some form of the Perl plugin, but each one is built against a specific build of Perl, and so may not work with the version of Perl you already have installed. If that is the case, you need to do few steps.

1. Save the appropriate .dll to the appropriate plugin directory:

For the official build: C:\Program Files\xchat\plugins\
For Silverex: C:\Program Files\X-Chat 2\plugins\
If you are on a 64 bit system, use C:\Program Files (x86)\ instead.

2. Rename xcperl.dll to xcperl.dll.old
3. Restart XChat.[/li][/list]

If you are running tried to load perl addon and you receive the following message:

Quote:Cannot open perl512.dll

You must have ActivePerl 5.12 installed in order to run perl scripts.

Make sure perl's bin directory is in your PATH.

This means that XChat is expecting, as stated, ActivePerl 5.12 even the latest ActivePerl is currently 5.14, and so if you need to install the version he ask you for not the latest version.

ignore/unignore

How to make ignore

There are many types of ignore there are PRIV for Private, NOTI for notice and CTCP, DCC, INVI for invite and ALL for all.

CTCP - DCC (CTCPs are Client to Client Protocols its a set of rules thats are between one client and another it work for the commands that are direct and doesnt need an accept or refuse like ping finger time version and DCC. etc).

The command for the ignore would be /ignore

hostmask = nick!ident@IP

Examples:

How To make unignore

The command would be /unignore QUIET

For ignore list you can only type /ignore to get the hostmask u want to remove and to know in what types you made the ban.
