We have been on chat for years! I wanted to thank you for keeping it going. in fact makkie (netherlands) and i (alaska) met here on chat and have been together/married ever since. makkie has lost his sight during 2019 and just last year (february 2020) i ended up in emergency room because i could not breathe, i found out i have cancer in my voice box. they removed voice box (i can no longer talk) and i went through chemo and radiation. cancer is still there but not as strong. we have always used chat to communicate when we were apart until we met, but now we use it everyday to communicate because makkie cannot see me or what i write. i have speech enabled here in mIRC chat and when i type he can hear what i say since he cannot see on his screen.

i think some of your ops have autism or something, because they are completely devoid of social awareness or context. maybe it's because none of them speak english natively? like it must be a lost-in-translation thing, because i never run across operators that have this mindset on other irc networks.
