here is something to consider/think about
1. icq is a multi million dollar company. when ircops posted the network link on the infoserv, you do not think the icq admin will noticed? the infoserv was up for about 2 weeks? if it was wrong or not allowed? you do not think the icq admin would had taking it down? what the ircops did was allowed. alot of ircops, chanops, ophelpers gave alot of their time for icq so the chatters had a great place to stay in. if chatters think that icq chatrooms closing down was an over night decision? chatters needed to rethink on it because i am 100% sure that icq admin planned the close down a long time ago. icq admin own the op more than just a infoserv notice post. i know a few ops spend more than 10 years helping out chatrooms unconditionally. 2 weeks of infoserv was just cheap change. [size=1em]2. now on the spamming. we have a good reputation. we are not afraid of loosing chatters. think of filtering the links as a safety measures. if one chatters got hurt because of going into one of those links. no one will want that. no one know what is on the other side of those links. one of our goals is to keep the chatters safe. because one of those links and something happen. then people will say, why didn't you filter those links. i been saying for a long time. no matter what ircops/op do, there will always someone not liking it. [size=1em]3. all the ops care. if ops do not care, we would not have spend so many hours for icq trying to keep the place clean and good for chatters. ops do not get anything from it. ops do it uncondtionally. alot of people do not know is that being an op is a mental beat down. after a period of time, it gets really hard. i think one of the factor that so many op left was that there was no salary and chatters were mentally tearing them down. not alot of people can stand that sort of mental tear down. 4. are you friggin kidding me? you think other network will let chatters post librairc to their network? seriously? 0.0!!!!!
P.S -- im typing this at 2 am. i did not know what happened. the buttom half went missing and i retyped. if you see 2 postings, the meaning basically the same.
