I'm CD, have been in chat for over a decade and a half. Used to come to ICQ for a little while but at the time, Yahoo was still up so that was still my chat hotspot. Have also frequented too many message boards to count.
I've always been interested in keeping things as civil as possible while ignoring the few squabbles that don't matter much in the long run. Even in gaming, I usually assist the lower-level characters and get a kick out of helping them progress without unfair tactics being used against them (reference Diablo 2) without some kind of backup. I'm a heavy gamer at times and in most games, have even gone as far as choosing the "good" routes in stead of seeing what "evil" has to offer - yes, a complete GEEK at times. Which I don't mind. I also get a kick out of teaching people things, whenever I'm able.
Hoping to become an Op, I was looking to be able to keep only the unruly in check.
In that, I mean I want to be able to make sure people coming in, especially respectful folks, have a good time (as relatively as their moods allow) and that anyone getting truly harassed is able to have an out (maybe advising for the /ignore function).
Also, I have a question:
Is there any easy way to tell when they've accepted your application to become an Op?
