  mIRC (Version: 7.43)
Posted by: Keith - 16-11-2015, 07:53 PM - Forum: mIRC - Replies (4)

As the forums continue to build, I wanted to take a moment to get the critical information about the mIRC client listed for everyone.

The current version of mIRC is 7.43 & can be downloaded by visiting the mIRC website. To open the website; click here.

Along with downloading the mIRC client; you may want to check out the forums that are provided. There you will find some important information about the client, and learn what others think about using it.

Remember, mIRC is FREE for the first 30 days. You're asked to register the client after to ensure future releases continue. The fee is $20.00 and it's a one-time; forever fee. You'll never need to register your client again & you will not have the registration reminder continue to pop-up. The forums are located by clicking here.

If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, or would just like to learn more about the client; feel free to stop in #mIRC on LibraIRC - We'll be happy to assist you along the way!

  Radio - Tech Support
Posted by: Warren - 21-10-2015, 09:21 PM - Forum: Suggestions - Replies (6)

I've noticed some people have been having some issues with the Radio, perhaps we can sort them out here.

First of all, I've had a lot of people complain of music skipping when i played songs.
particularly when switching songs. I got several reports that the music starts "stuttering"
afterward too.

http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=373998

I found a similar report on the matter found there (and relatively recently) in regards to the shoutcast stuttering.

Their recommendation was to modify the "sc_serv.conf" file and change how it buffers.

Quote:  buffertype=1
  adaptivebuffersize=15

or try

Quote:  buffertype=0
  fixedbuffersize=256000

personally i think its probably related to the adaptive buffering, and a fixed size might be a good fit,
though one will have to experiment with it a little.

  computer maitience
Posted by: wildcard - 11-10-2015, 01:23 AM - Forum: Chit Chat - Replies (5)

as we all have computers.
yes I am astute to have noticed that haha!
no we got the funnies put aside  now lets discuss keeping our computer running trouble free
a good antivirus  and some say I have  I have but if you have avg free then you are  problem having problems  with computer slow and other  things. Or u may have a good commercial that is like  resource hog and always find virus
I would tell you to try malwarebyte and check to see how many your  antivirus is missing
also when you do get virus you find it hard to remove..
this simple  post will make a difference and the software I recommend will be

ccleaner {beware and dont use registry cleaner as it has a bug and deletes more,,, at present it is not windows 10 compatiably)
malwarebyte [you can get it for free and if you feel that it is cool upgrade to premium
revo uninstaller [ which is good for removing programs and also help to delete left overs in registry]
lockhunter [ this will unlock stubborn files and help u remove virus]
unlocker [ this will unlock stubborn files and help u remove virus]

now let get started
install the lot

and lets get to virus  removal

virus can be gggrrr and want to pull hair out , but where  virus are stored are in appdata temp file
how to find  I will show easiest methid  go to your
folder (tom,dick, harry]
press at top
view
and then check view all files
in your fold u will see appdata file double click
double click local file and then
double click temp file
pn screen press ctrl/a and highlight all and delete
what cannot be deleted are you viruses .
to remove righ click the file and then press lock hunter or unlocker and find the option to delete. unlocker also has a feature to stop the process .
then runn malwarebyte
...

next run ccleaner this will delete any built up rubbish files and so clean your system given more room.

now
right click windows tab and press run as administrator command prompt
type in sfc/scannow this will repair any files of windows
what it cannot  repair
make sure if the windows ten up grade get a copy
make a iso disk here
you will need it to reinstall wim

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...ol-install
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:Full Path to install.wim file:1 /limitaccess
type in command prompt

so there complete fixer up and cool running all very easy

  chrome probem
Posted by: wildcard - 15-09-2015, 10:51 AM - Forum: Suggestions - Replies (2)

k many chatter using chrome to attempt to join are having  problems as it is refusing to show chat login panel
I have had it happen to me so I know it is rea I think it has something to do  with either the lateste up date of chrome amd or windows ten with chrome.
I have found doing a complete umistall of chrome  with wins utilities  will help  and reinstall
if that fails get them to go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windo...ol-install
down load tool and reinstall windows 10. this will fix also
with that tool they can make a iso disc  of windows 10

also get them to test out in ie or edge to see if it works
