what i would like to suggest is -

In /motd. few lines regarding linked Inspircd servers should be added as well like
* irc01-red.librairc.net         
*-irc01-blue.librairc.net     
*-irc01-orange.librairc.net 
*-irc01-green.librairc.net 
        are linked servers + services to make irc.LibraIRC.net
so that people get to know efforts put in by server owners so that ppl can chat in a Happy and spam FREE Network.
also every server name should point to an ip. for example if i want to connect only to irc01-blue.librairc.net for some reason (location) then i should be able to connect to /server -m irc01-blue.librairc.net . Means every sub-domain must be pointed to an ip of that vps/shell.

another suggestion -- I think GroupServ isnt needed as very less ppl know about it and rarely very few use it. it can be removed so as to save ram usage by services.

network is going very well very nice and happy environment @ irc.LibraIRC.Net

Era i see no usage in that. the users can use /server irc.librairc.net and they connect automatically to the server with the lowest lag. So it is best to stay this way. The servers will be 2 in a few days so it is ok.

As for groupserv it doesnt take much ram if it does we will see what will be done.

George obviously users wont worry about it.but bots need servers to be set in servers block. i use server ip though but it would be more easier to add servers just by adding what /map shows. rather than finding ip. and dns resolving is still an issue in eggdrop.
also icq and freenode servers all get resolved to network. but it doesnt seem to be set here.
its just a suggestion afterall from what i noticed in other Networks

My partner was g-lined while he was away from the keyboard, our other friend was also g-lined for just a simple sentence with no bad words in it
I got g-lined the first day i was here for posting an ICQ link to someone to show them the server was shutting down, It was in my own room, not a public room so ...

My suggestion:  If I want to post links in my rooms I could, If someone is spamming links, then they should be banned

is there anywhere to read what kind of links are allowed?  I know you won't post your whole "spam filter" list here but at least give an idea

Spam filter is not working any different way it worked on icq, so i don't see why are we being questioned now
Surely we will not share the filter list.
If someone is banned they can simply open ticket on our helpdesk at http://librairc.net/helpdesk which is pointed on gline reasons.
Noone gets banned for nothing at all so you do not know what they post or do but we do so saying they got banned for simple sentence is not the case.
You are allowed to share urls surely, but why post something that been flooded on icq to our network ?

Question: Ok why would my partner get banned while AFK?

                I was chatting with my friend when he got G-lined, and he did say a sentence and I saw in my status window he was g-lined the same moment he said that sentence.  I do know what he said, it was not a link, it was not spam, it was not a flood, there were no bad words in that sentence.  I posted it in the #Help room so I am certain they have a log of it somewhere, if not I do!

                As soon as i posted a link to a friend of the ICQ Chat Webpage (Where it says the ICQ network will be shut down Dec 1), to show them and to prove to them ICQ server was shutting down, to get them to stay on the new Libra server (I am trying to help out here)  I got G-lined (I do not, will not, never have, posted any spam/flood on 'any' network) that is not what i am here for.

There has been a mistake filter set, to catch icq.com i guess thats how the gline happened tho wish the ban reason has been posted to helpdesk so it could be addressed better.
Anything is allowed to some point but no spamming to other chat networks if we get report we do add them to filter..
Surely no unwanted url as virus/porn etc.. so whatever left is allowed

I got a bunch of suggestions but I'll keep them until I'm here for awhile, you know, get familiar with the network & community. However, each suggestion should be made via threads, not by replies, with sub boards "Accepted" & "Denied". It's a bit harsh to deny suggestions but once you've explained why it was denied in an understanding way then users will be satisfied.


Note: Always give them time to reply after your denial reason before locking the thread, sometimes there might be a slight misunderstanding.

Our server is opened to all , we didnt spam and we will never span our chat site. Friends and old chatters bring their friends and this is the best way. We dont need 100s of them because we dont want trolls and bad ones.

I believe Knight_Errant i don't think ircops won't spam to anyone ircops don't Need spam when chatters like to Come and to Chat is it their opinion and as Knight_Errant said ppl come and invite her Friends.
