We had a chanop who used to do quite a bit of scripting his name was DJ_Reactor he scripted a recognisation script a long time ago for chanops and today he has given me an upgrade on it .
He has also gave me a readme file with it which I will also post here
ldNicks.mrc README File
Made by Jeremy Gibson for free distribution. If any changes are made to the script, do not bother emailing me because I'm not fixing problems that weren't there in the first place.
I do, however, encourage ideas for additions or ways of improving the funcionality of this addon.
email: jeremy.t.gibson@gmail.com
On load, it will make the necessary tables and files.
Menubar -
You can change the number of nicknames it repeats back when somebody joins by clicking the option showing how many nicknames it shows. (Default: 20)
Turn the script on/off (Please note, the script will still be loaded.)
Nicklist -
Right-clicking a nickname will give you the option of showing what nicknames have been used by this user, using $address($nick,2) rather than $address($nick,3).
Whois -
If this user has used any other nicknames with this IP, it will show under the initial information of the nickname.
General function:
When a user joins the chatroom, their IP will be recorded with the nickname used. If there is already an entry, it will add the nickname, if it is one that has not been used before.
When a user changes their nickname, it will record the nickname to the entry.
Please feel free to distribute this script freely. This is one of the few "old nickname" scripts that use $address($nick,2) and I would like to get more out there.
Script attached below
